5 out of 5 stars So right...   September 2, 2004

To all of the people out there still thinking that liquid stain is tricky to use, I really want to recommend this product. No wonder there's been a dozen new versions and imitations of it as soon as it came out, they got it exactly right the first time!

Benetint is a wonderful pink-reddish color that looks good on just about anyone, I'd say it's universally flattering. The formula's completely liquid so the best recommendation is just not to take TOO long to work on it or it'll dry on your cheeks. The key is to dab a little on the apple of your cheeks and work with your fingertips.

I, a former devotee of powder blushes, originally bought this for my lips as it gives them a nice I've-been-sucking-on-a-lollipop color and a great look when used under gloss. However, I tried it out on my cheeks one day that I was sick and looked really pale...wow! It looks so natural my mother even asked me if I'd had a walk in the sun. That, I think, is the best part about it, no other thing I've ever tried has looked as natural. I have to admit it looked amazing, lasted all day, and smells like roses.

Don't be fooled by the price and the size, very little goes a long way and even with daily use it'll last you a looong time. A wonderful product and a great buy.

5 out of 5 stars One of my all-time favorites!   May 5, 2004

I love this blush - it's easy to use, gives good (but subtle) color, smells good, and blends well. I'm wearing it right now! I had previously only used powder blushes, but after running out I decided to give this a try. It's surprisingly blendable - sure, you have to move a little more quickly than with powders, but I have yet to end up with clown spots because I didn't do it correctly. You can also use it as lip color, but I find that it just makes my lips look chapped - maybe with some gloss it would look okay. This is one of my essentials - I can't get ready without it!

4 out of 5 stars Neat, but different from Benetint.   June 14, 2008

Ok, like many other gals out there, I adore Benetint. So, when I saw this seemingly lighter or more pink version of one of my favorite cosmetic products, I was all over it! When I got it, I was surprised, but not necessarily disappointed, by its actual appearance. It has the look and consistency of light pink nail polish. Smells much better, of course, but needless to say it doesn't look or work exactly the same way as Benetint. It can be used the same way, but it is a little thicker and less...sheer? Hard to explain.

All in all, I like it, and have been using it both on my cheeks (more often) and lips. It is a good shade for us pale girls, very subtle, but I think it would work on a variety of skin tones. If you're interested in it, and have the money, go ahead and try it...but it might be best to check it out in person first.

5 out of 5 stars Rosy!   January 16, 2007

I got this today and I couldn't wait to try it out! I have dry skin, so I rubbed a tiny bit of moisturizer on my bare cheeks and then dabbed and blended the Benetint over the top. I didn't have a problem with it drying too quickly that way so I'd definitely recommend a bit of moisturizer if you have that problem. I put my foundation on over the top and the beautiful rosy glow shines through as if my skin naturally looked like that! Then I used a q-tip to rub it into my lips, and I absolutely love the natural reddish color it imparts. I hate lipstick but I need color to my lips, and this is exactly what I've always wanted.

Buy it, you won't be sorry, and if you are, send it to me and I'll use it!

3 out of 5 stars ok, but there are better products out there   March 29, 2005

I thought this product was ok. For beginners, it's prob a little tricky to use because it does dry very quickly and can leave clown spots. Also, the color is alittle too red for my asain complexion. I prefer tarte cheekstain in flush for that I've been running outside in 100 degrees weather, or tipsy for a nice peachy look. Tarte's much easier to use compare to benefit and it's virtually error-proof, no way possible to mess it up (you can leave it on you cheek, wait a bit, and still be able to blend it no problem).
